I had the pleasure of meeting with Duncan Adamson, new owner of the Park Motor Inn. We chatted about many things, and not surprising, our focus always came back to Elizabethtown. Duncan moved to the area as a young child, graduated from Ausable Valley, and spent many years throughout Northern New York. He then bounced around before finding himself in Vermont for many years before he most recently bought our very own Park Motor Inn. 

Right now, Duncan is learning the ropes of this new business and filling the shoes of the past owners of the motel. Next, he plans to do minor renovations of the motel rooms, the grounds, and update the furnishings. He wants to embrace the Adirondack style in furniture and decor. I cannot wait to see what happens next!

What's exciting, is the buzz in Elizabethtown this winter! Local people have been stopping by to meet Duncan, bringing guests to stay and let him know how happy we all are to welcome him in this new venture. You would think with the negative temperatures and the lack of warmth, that the people of Elizabethtown would be singing a similar tune. However, there is a buzz in the air, activities happening all over the place. Other local lodging establishments have even reached out with excitement of the new ownership. 

So, please join the Town in welcoming Duncan Adamson to the neighborhood!
