Elizabethtown Social Center
Elizabethtown Social Center
The Elizabethtown Social Center has been Elizabethtown's cultural and recreational heart since it was founded in 1939 by Cora Putnam Hale. Her goal was to offer "the greatest good to the greatest number of people in the Boquet Valley region."
A non-profit community center which enhances the lives of people in Elizabethtown and neighboring communities by connecting them to each other, to our natural resources and to cultural experiences that promote recreation and creative enrichment. Our programs serve all ages and help strengthen connections, creativity and quality of life in our region.
TEEN REC -
Teen Rec is a free after school program open to all 6th-12th graders in the Boquet Valley Central School Distrcit. Teens play sports, do arts and crafts, cook and most importantly have fun hanging out with friends in a safe, supervised setting. Field trips include outdoor recreation, musical theater trips, and minor league sports. Teen Rec is the longest running program the center offers currently at 86 years with the mission to create better citizens of tomorrow!
