Notice of Public Hearing
Notice is hereby given, that on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at 6:00 pm, the Town Board of the Town of Elizabethtown, in the County of Essex, at 7563 Court Street, Elizabethtown, New York will hold a Public Hearing. The purpose of the hearing is for Public Comments on Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Applications for the 2026 Program year. The NYS CDBG Program is administered by New York State Homes and Community Renewal and will make available to eligible Local Governments approximately $45 million in funding for the current Program year for housing, public infrastructure, public facilities, economic development, imminent threat and community planning, with the principal purpose of benefiting low and moderate-income persons. The Town of Elizabethtown is applying for approximately three hundred fifty thousand ($350,000) in CDBG funds to assist with single-family home rehabilitation. The Hearing will provide CDBG Program information and will accept Public Input on proposed grant applications and alternative project ideas. All interested parties are invited to attend and will be heard at the Public Hearing. The location is accessible to persons with disabilities, those with hearing impairments, or those in need of translation from English may contact Supervisor Reusser at 518-873-6555 x1, at least three (3) days in advance of the Hearing. Written comments may also be submitted to the Town of Elizabethtown, PO Box 265, Elizabethtown, NY 12932, Attention: Supervisor Reusser - until July 24, 2026.
Applications and related CDBG materials will be made available at the Town of Elizabethtown Town Hall, 7563 Court Street, Elizabethtown, NY 12932.
